Your data, and exactly where it goes.
LumenAI is a food and fitness tracker. This page explains, without the usual legal fog, what the app collects, why, and which outside services ever see it.
01 What we collect
LumenAI collects only what's needed to run the features you use:

02 Photos & scanning
When you scan a meal, the photo is sent directly to Google's Gemini AI for analysis and is not stored on LumenAI's servers afterward. Only the nutrition values it returns (name, calories, macros) are saved to your log.
Barcode scans send just the barcode number to Open Food Facts, an open public food database, to look up nutrition data. No photo or personal information is included in that request.
03 How it's used
- Calculating your daily calorie and macro targets
- Showing your logged meals, trends, and streak
- Flagging micronutrients you're trending low on
- Projecting your weight trend toward a goal you set
- Unlocking Premium features once a purchase is verified
We do not use your data for advertising, and LumenAI has no third-party analytics or ad tracking SDKs.
05 Storage & security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored with row-level access rules that isolate each account's data from every other. No user can read another user's logs, even at the database level.
06 Your choices
- Edit or delete any logged meal or weight entry directly in the app.
- Reset your profile from Settings to permanently erase your account data.
- Request a copy or full deletion of your data anytime by emailing us. See Contact below.
07 Children
LumenAI is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has used LumenAI to create an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
08 Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is handled, the "Effective" date at the top of this page will be updated. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
